Playing on SkyBlock

Playing on SkyBlock
SkyBlock is the island server: start with a small island and grow it into a
ranked business empire. Join it with /server skyblock from anywhere on the
network.
This page covers SkyBlock only. For things that work the same everywhere — the server IP, the whitelist, ranks, chat, and PigBot — see Playing on ChoiceCraft. For the open-world server, see Playing on Survival.
How do I play SkyBlock?
To play SkyBlock, join with /server skyblock, create a small protected island in
the void, and turn its limited starting resources into renewable production and a
growing business.
/is create— create your island- Build a cobblestone generator and harvest it for building blocks; it can also produce coal and iron ore
- Expand carefully, then build farms and other renewable resource production
/sell— sell supported surplus and earn coins/shop— buy useful goods from the Government Market/license buy— invest in a Small Business License and unlock more goods/ev— track your Empire Value as you build, trade, and invest/marketand/trade <player>— do business with other players and islands/spawn— return to the capital/balance— check your coins/license info— review later licence tiers
The long-term loop is produce, sell, reinvest, and expand. Your balance is working
money; Empire Value is the main progression score and ranking. SkyBlock is on hard
difficulty with PvP off, and both the Nether and the End are closed. /help
browses the SkyBlock guide.
SkyBlock: islands
Your island is the home of your empire on SkyBlock.
/is create— start your island/is— island controls/is home— return to your own island/is visit <name>— visit another island
Invite trusted friends when you are ready. Island membership and protection keep your build safe from everyone else.
Your island is also your empire identity — Empire Value and business licences attach to the island, not just to you.
How do I invite, join, or remove SkyBlock island members?
SkyBlock islands start with room for 4 members. The Members Size upgrades raise that limit to 8, 16, and finally 32.
/is invite <player>— invite a player to your island/is accept— accept the first pending invite/is accept <player-or-island>— choose an invite when you have several/is kick <player>— remove a lower-ranked island member after confirmation
Accepting an invite takes the new member to the island. Kicking somebody sends them to spawn but does not clear their inventory. Invite only people you trust: island membership grants whatever access that member's island role allows.
How do I leave an island or transfer SkyBlock leadership?
/is leave— leave your current island after confirmation/is transfer <member>— transfer leadership to an existing island member
An island leader cannot leave until leadership has been transferred. Leaving or being kicked sends the player to spawn and does not clear their inventory. Island licences and Empire Value belong to the island leadership rules described in the licence and Empire Value sections, so review those before transferring an empire.
How do SkyBlock visitors, open islands, bans, and expulsion work?
/is open— allow public visits/is close— stop public visits/is visit <player-or-island>— visit an open island/is visitors— view the visitors currently present/is expel <player>— remove a visitor/is ban <player>,/is pardon <player>, and/is bans— manage visitor bans
Opening an island allows visits; it does not give visitors permission to build or make them island members. The island remains protected by its role permissions.
How do I reset, delete, or disband my SkyBlock island?
/is disband, /is reset, and /is delete are aliases for the same permanent
action. After a confirmation, the island is deleted and every island member's
normal inventory and Ender Chest are cleared. New players have five disbands
available; using one is not an undo button.
Move anything you intend to keep somewhere appropriate, coordinate with every
member, and read the confirmation before accepting it. If the goal is only to
leave, transfer leadership if necessary and use /is leave instead.
SkyBlock: money
Money on SkyBlock tracks the working capital of your empire.
/balance,/bal, or/money— check your coins/shop— browse the Government Market/sell hand— sell a supported item you are holding/sell all <item>— sell all plain copies of a supported item/pay <player> <amount>— send coins directly to another player
Market sell prices are controlled and may change during balancing. Every important money movement is recorded, to keep the economy fair.
Your balance is working capital, not your final score — spending on licences and
upgrades turns money into empire progress. Use /ev for total Empire Value.
SkyBlock coins belong only to SkyBlock. Survival has its own separate economy, and coins do not carry between the two servers.
SkyBlock: business licences
Business licences on SkyBlock are long-term investments owned by an island leader.
- Create an island before buying your first licence
- Only the island leader can use
/license buyfor the first licence - Only the island leader can use
/license upgradefor the next tier /license info— tiers, costs, and the Empire Value each adds- The island leader can use
/license renewwhen renewals are enabled
The tiers run Small Business, Corporation, Conglomerate, and Empire Charter. Licence Empire Value is cumulative as the empire advances.
The leader's active tier unlocks business goods in the Government Market for every island member. Your own personal licence stays yours, but lies dormant while another player leads your island.
SkyBlock: Empire Value
Empire Value, or EV, is the main progression metric on SkyBlock.
/evor/empire— your island's EV and what it is made of
EV comes from the island leader's cash, licence investments, and milestones. Business-licence tiers add cumulative investment EV.
EV is the number to track — not island level and not island worth. Every island appears once in the Empire rankings.
Member balances do not increase island EV when they join, so recruiting rich players does not raise your ranking on its own. Build, trade, invest, and compete.
SkyBlock: markets and shops
Markets connect production to revenue on SkyBlock.
- The Government Market is always the starter buy and sell path
/shop— browse supported goods/sell hand,/sell all <item>, or/sell <item> [amount]— sell/marketor/market list— browse active island trade posts- Player shops let island businesses sell goods directly to visitors
Locked shop goods need a higher business-licence tier — buy or upgrade a licence to open them up.
Trade posts lead to player island businesses. They are not item listings, so expect to travel and deal with a person. Use the Government Market first when you need a guaranteed buyer or seller; player shops are part of the changing player economy.
Capital economy boards may show money supply, economy health, top exports, and Empire Value leaders. Use them to understand the server, not as a promise that prices will never change.
SkyBlock: trading with other players
Trade items and coins directly with other players on SkyBlock.
/pay <player> <amount>— a coin-only payment/trade <player>— request a secure item trade/trade accept [player]or/trade deny [player]— answer a request- Shift-click items into your offer;
/trade money <amount>adds coins - Both players must confirm before the trade settles
- Changing an offer resets both confirmations
/trade cancel— cancel an active trade/trade block <player>— stop unwanted requests/trade unblock <player>— allow them again/trade blocklist— review who you have blocked
Closing the trade window or disconnecting cancels the trade and returns offered
items. Use /trade rather than dropping items and trusting someone.
SkyBlock: travel
Getting around on SkyBlock:
/spawn— return to the capital/warps— available server destinations/warp <name>— visit a named destination/is home— return to your own island/is visit <name>— visit another island/tpa <player>— ask to teleport to another player/tpahere <player>— ask another player to teleport to you/tpacceptor/tpdeny— answer a request/tpcancel— cancel your outgoing request
Global warps lead to capital landmarks such as markets and public halls. Island warps belong to individual islands.
Teleport requests only reach players on SkyBlock. If someone is on Survival or the Hub, join that server first.
